Committee
This year's committee are
President: Yvonne Igunma
Hiya!!! I'm Yvonne and I am a second year medic. I'm from the historical part of South-East London. I love to shop, listen to music, singing, going to movies and art galleries. Some weird facts about me are I am one half of a twin set (non- identical!!) and I am known to sew, knit and paint in my spare time! I currently hold the title for the most frequent sleeper in lectures... but I do not condone this behaviour :) .
The CU is a vibrant loving community which welcomes everyone from any background, with everything from food, frolicks and forums for discussion. We warmly invite you to come and join. You'll love it, you see!
Secretary: Sandra Bonsu
Hey there, I’m Sandra and I’m in my 2nd year at Georges studying Biomedical science.
Want to know something about me?
Well where should I start?
I was born in ‘Pound’ Land aka ENGLAND, bred in the Gold Coast aka GHANA, will graduate in ………, will get married in…………and have babies in ………… and so much more.
Want to know the blanks? Catch me at CU and maybe I’ll tell you.
On a more serious note, as CU secretary all I do is to look busy...only kidding!! Agendas, minutes, weekly e-mails and constant reminders (to committee members) are what I do. I look forward to seeing you all.

A very Big Hello, my name's Tayo and i'm a 2nd year medic. Would have loved to go on about the many musical instruments I play, but unfortunately stopped piano lessons not too long after starting. Nevertheless I enjoy talking about and playing sports - support liverpool.
Evangelism and Outreach Leader: Saleem Farooqui
Hey, my name is Saleem. Hmm, not much to say really; I'm just your average, white, half-indian! All the usual things to expect, for example, I like stupidly hot curry (well, I actually just love food in general ). When I'm not being forced to slave over my medical degree, or being locked away in meetings, you'll generally find me out and about socialising and talking (some say loudly...). I love having free time, though sadly it is a rarity these days, and so when i get some I maximise it!
As for what I do at Christian Union, I am effectively the outreach officer. The role feels natural to me, as i have had a similar role at my old church where i co-ran a youth-club targetted at non-christians, every Sunday. It has been great being on the Christian Union committee so far, and Christian Union's profile has definitely been raised this year - BUT WE WANT MORE PEOPLE :). Ideas, help and prayers are welcome!
How I became a Christian is a very, very long winded story so if you are intersted, ask me in person - I love to talk....really.
My name is Rachel Owusu-Ankomah and I am a 3rd year Biomed. My role on committee this year is treasurer which means that I'm in charge of all the money. If you want CU merchandise (T-Shirts) then I'm your girl! Hmmm… something interesting about myself to share with you all…. let me think... I have a really long name (four middle names and a double barrelled surname) I like to cook, sing, dance and watch TV, That's about it. Well I look forward to seeing you a CU meeting or event!
